10-Day Final Project:

My final MERN Stack Capstone project brings timely, relevant financial statement information together along with a blog catered for financial end users.  I used an API from Alpha Vantage to build the last 5 years of annual income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for a company.  The power of React.js nested my pages to a simple navbar with each button allowing the user to change screens and interact with all of the components and relevant financial information for use with the pertinent blogs.  Express.js and Node.js connected sign in, sign up, blogs, and reply to a MongoDB database.

My Capstone is relevant in disseminating financial information for end-users who are actively making financial business decisions.  A blog site is viable for such information, but a newsletter may be more appropriate to meld the financial information with relevant news. A 10-day sprint that starts with each students’ idea. They are responsible for architecting this application, researching and learning any new languages or technologies to complete it, and build the final project. Since this is their crowning achievement during our course, instructors are very hands-off during the lifecycle of the development of their capstone.
