10-Day Final Project

I created an app with a collection of math problems to solve. This idea was inspired by a book I read called Innumeracy and observation of people being afraid of math. Its purpose is to help users, or math enthusiasts, challenge or improve their mathematical abilities. Each math problem reinforces one’s skill in unit conversion, basic multiplication, division, and dealing with big numbers.

Technologies I used: Django REST Framework, Django, MySQL, Postman, Git, Python, React.js, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Axios.

Hire Me Because…

I strive to put effort into solving problems and am always excited when I learn to do something well. I remember how rewarding and exciting it felt when I connected a printer to the server that allowed the clients to print to it. I constantly yielded positive results from clients about the speed of service when it came to solving their issues with computers or their accounts. Helping others in such a manner sheds light on my ability to be extremely dependable and reliable.

Passion For Programming

I’ve wanted to get into programming for some years. I started by trying to learn game development since I was into video games still during my college days. I followed video tutorials, and things didn’t work and I got confused and gave up. Then I came across devCodeCamp and upon graduating, I realized that I could program. It just requires much dedication and tenacious determination. Through fun and frustration, I managed to build and program an app. This process was monumental as it taught me how to handle myself as a developer. I am ready to discover more in the world of coding.

Three Words About My Professional Qualities

Teachable – I can accept instruction well as it gives me the opportunity to learn from others.

Resourceful – If I ever get stuck during coding, I run down my mental list of sites and Google search for any information that will aid me in my task. If no progress is made, I ask for assistance.

Team Player – A team can accomplish great things. I am always invigorated to work with positive individuals.

Three Words That Describe The Best Role For Me

Enthusiastic – I like to keep a positive attitude in all aspects of my life.

Social Skills – I handle myself exceptionally well among a diverse group of individuals and always maintain clear and effective communication.

Results-Oriented – I strive for growth and improvement through constructive feedback.

Watch My Capstone Presentation

A 10-day sprint that starts with each students’ idea. They are responsible for architecting this application, researching and learning any new languages or technologies to complete it, and build the final project. Since this is their crowning achievement during our course, instructors are very hands-off during the lifecycle of the development of their capstone.
