10-Day Final Project

My final 10-day capstone project for devCodeCamp is called The Cocktail Lounge. It is an app that I created to help those customers that go to bars or restaurants that simply don’t have a knowledge of cocktails. My app gives users the ability to search for cocktails that contain an ingredient they are looking for specifically in a cocktail they want to drink. This app also helps those who are a little more adventurous and are willing to try new cocktails by the random cocktail function I have added to it. My app also has the ability to log in new cocktails that a user likes to a collection so they can access them for later reference.

Technologies that I used were React, Django REST API, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, The Cocktail DB API.

Hire Me Because…

I am ambitious and always ready to learn more and bring what knowledge I do have to the team. I am a diligent worker that stays focused on my work or any task at hand. I always advance wherever I am and have become proficient at my job.

Passion For Programming

Seeing what I am able to build from scratch and seeing a final completed product and constantly learning more about the technologies and languages that are involved with programming.

Three Words About My Professional Qualities

  • Personable – I enjoy meeting and working with new people
  • Reliable- I make sure work assigned to me is done correctly and I am always available to my team members
  • Motivated- I get excited when learning new materials or starting a new project

Three Words That Describe The Best Role For Me

  • Leader- With my military history I’ve always had the drive to lead
  • Responsible – When I’m given a task I make sure my team members know I will get it done
  • Creative- I like being able to find out what functions in my work will separate my work from others

Watch My Capstone Presentation

A 10-day sprint that starts with each students’ idea. They are responsible for architecting this application, researching and learning any new languages or technologies to complete it, and build the final project. Since this is their crowning achievement during our course, instructors are very hands-off during the lifecycle of the development of their capstone.
