My name is Dana Kiehl and I am a recent graduate of DevCodeCamp in Milwaukee with academic training from Southern New Hampshire University. I am looking forward to using my newly developed skills to help an organization reach its goals and push their limits of creation. In my free time, I love to explore the outdoors with my binoculars to see all the birds I can and running obstacle course races.
What I Bring
Along with the skills I developed through DevCodeCamp, I bring a unique background and perspective developed through my past experiences. With a background in research, data collection and entry, customer service, small business management, and leadership, I can look at potential projects from a lot of different angles and come up with unique solutions.
I believe many of my strengths currently lie in back-end development, but my creative side loves to design the front-end. I am good at troubleshooting my own code but also know when to ask for help. I am a strong team player and was able to help my fellow team members throughout projects with some of their coding questions.
I love the challenge of coding. I can constantly learn and challenge myself because no matter how many years you have been coding there is always more to learn. I also like the feeling of building something from the ground up. Turning an idea (or a set of user stories) into a tangible working application or project gives me such a feeling of accomplishment.
